Seven ways we help skin recover

Laser treatment and medical micropigmentation, in one private practice.

Laser tattoo removal

PicoWay picosecond pulses break ink into fragments your body clears naturally. FDA-cleared for all skin tones.

Scalp micropigmentation

Recreates hairlines, adds the look of density, and conceals scalp scars.

Areola restorative micropigmentation

Shading, blending, and contouring after breast cancer surgery. Performed privately, with care.

Laser skin rejuvenation

PicoWay RESOLVE softens acne scars, wrinkles, and fine lines and evens skin tone in sessions of about 20 minutes.

Scar camouflage

Skin-tone-matched pigment blends scars from surgery, burns, injury, or self-harm into the surrounding skin.

Stretch mark camouflage

Corrective micropigmentation that blends stretch marks, with optional collagen serum.

Benign pigmented lesions

FDA-approved laser treatment for brown spots, liver spots, freckles, and melasma.

What the laser actually does

The animation above the fold is not decoration. It is the treatment: light shatters ink, and your body does the rest.

  1. Pulse

The PicoWay laser fires in picoseconds, fast enough to reach ink without breaking the skin.

  2. Shatter

Each pulse fractures ink particles into fragments too small to hold their color.

  3. Clear

Your body filters the fragments away between sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

Run by a medical provider, not a franchise

Skin Perfections Studio is the private practice of Mary Burr, APRN, a medical provider in the Twin Lakes area for more than 20 years. The studio works alongside doctors and consultants when appropriate, so laser and micropigmentation care stays grounded in medicine.

Questions people actually ask

Will it hurt?

It is uncomfortable, but less so than getting the tattoo. We can cool the skin, apply topical numbing cream, or use injectable anesthetic before treatment. The first session is typically the most uncomfortable.

How many sessions will my tattoo take?

Anywhere from 2 to 10 or more sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. It depends on skin tone, tattoo age, ink type, and colors. Greens and blues usually take extra sessions.

What should I expect after a session?

Blisters are normal and expected. They may scab and crust. Do not break them, and follow your aftercare instructions carefully to protect against scarring or color variation.

What aftercare is required?

Avoid excess sun, use SPF 50+ sunscreen, and keep the area covered with clothing. Cleanse the area twice daily with Cetaphil and water.

What is the PicoWay RESOLVE treatment?

RESOLVE is the same laser platform used for skin rejuvenation. It treats acne scars, wrinkles, and dark spots, and is FDA-approved for melasma. Sessions take about 20 minutes, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.

What does skin look like after RESOLVE?

Expect the feel of a mild sunburn, with red, irritated-looking skin for up to a week. Some mild petechiae can develop and resolves with proper aftercare.

Why do these procedures cost what they do?

The equipment and training are specialized and expensive to purchase and maintain. There are only two PicoWay units in the entire state of Arkansas, and one of them is here.
